Financial support for patients with life threatening illnesses.
The rainy day fund is a monthly emergency financial aid initiative designed to support Canadian citizens from low-income families who are undergoing treatment for a threatening illness. Eligible patients may receive up to $1500 annually. Expenses Include:
- Overdue Rent and Utilities
- Grocery and Gas Gift Cards
- Reimbursement for Medical Parking and Transportation (Taxi, Uber, Ride Share, Public Transportation, Private Ambulance, Etc.)
To be eligible, an individuals annual income must not exceed $32,500., and family income must not exceed $60,000.
Applications are not accepted directly from the patient, a social worker must fill out the application on behalf of the patient.
